7% AOC E is an aluminum organic complex dissolved in a naphtha solvent. This dark yellow liquid contains a metal content of Al: 6.70 – 7.30%, and a non-volatile content of 50.00 – 70.00% according to ASTM D 1644. It has a viscosity ranging from A-5 to F based on ASTM D 2373 and a specific gravity of 0.960 – 1.061 at 25°C according to ASTM D 1963. This solution offers enhanced through dry, improved pigment wetting and dispersion, greater water resistance, improved yellowing resistance with less film discoloration, higher gloss retention, improved capacity, and greater chalking resistance. It is particularly useful in high solids and thick film alkyd applications.
